2 days Sipi Falls safari, and the falls lie in the eastern region of Uganda, approximately 277 km from Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. It comprises three waterfalls flowing from different altitudes found on the foothills of Mountain Elgon at the edge of Mountain Elgon National Park, next to the Kenyan border. The name Sipi was derived from the word “sep,” an indigenous plant used as medicine for fever and measles by the locals that grows along the banks of the Sipi River.

Detailed itinerary for Sipi Falls hiking and abseiling safari
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Sipi Falls.
After your breakfast at around 6:30 am, transfer to Sipi Falls, eastern Uganda; have lunch en-route; arrive in the afternoon hours and drive directly to the top of the falls, starting with the highest, which is 100 m; hike the second, which is 85 m; and then hike the shortest, which is 75 m. While hiking, you will have a chance of viewing the cool and beautiful scenery of Mount Elgon. The total hike takes 4-5 hours. After hiking, check into your reserved lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Coffee tour and experience and later return back to Kampala.
Have a cup of tea or coffee and later on transfer to the bottom of the falls for a coffee tour. This tour is guided by the locals, who teach you how to pick the coffee berries, shell, grind, roast them on fire, and finish with a cup of strong arabic coffee. Return to the lodge for lunch and a transfer to Kampala.
