Detailed Itinerary for 5 Days Primates Trekking Rwanda Safari
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Nyungwe forest National park
Upon your arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver/guide who will help you with your luggage, brief you about the safari and transfer you to Nyungwe forest National Park. You will make a brief stop at Ikongoro for a visit to the Genocide Memorial of Murambi and Butare. After a quick snack, we will proceed to Nyungwe National Park to check into your booked safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking Nyungwe and Canopy walk
After your early morning breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about the Chimpanzee tracking and what to kind of expect. Return from your Chimpanzee tracking return to the lodge for an early lunch and later set out for a canopy walk that will reward you with scenic views and get to see different primates. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Check out of the safari lodge and proceed to Volcanoes National Park after your breakfast. Enjoy the scenic drive passing through Virunga volcanoes, as you wound your way through the breathtaking countryside. Upon your arrival at the safari lodge, check in for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking Volcanoes and Community walk
With your packed lunch after breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters at Kinigi for briefing and after you can set out into the forest to begin the trek in search of these gentle giants. After your one-hour viewing of these gentle giants, return to your lodge for lunch and later after one hour of relaxation, you will venture out for a community walk to encounter different tribes that are in this forest, exploring more of their unique culture and ways of life. Day 5: Transfer from Volcanoes National Park to Kigali
Wake up for early morning breakfast, and check out of the safari lodge. You will exit volcanoes National park, heading to the Iby’iwacu cultural village for the great dance and cultural experience. Continue your drive to Kigali for a brief tour of this vibrant city and one of the fastest-growing in Africa. Visit the craft markets and purchase different souvenirs to take back home. You will have a lunch break and later visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial site. You will continue to Kigali international airport for your evening flight back home. Meal plan: Breakfast and lunch
